TFF: Sevilla FC tour set to boost TZ soccer

Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has urged Simba Sports Club players to display their best talents in the encounter against Spanish giants, Sevilla FC. TFF also has commended a prominent betting firm in the country, SportPesa Tanzania, for its efforts to promote the development of the game in the country.

Speaking yesterday, TFF President Wallace Karia said the Simba players have to know that Sevilla FC is among the high-flying teams in the world and so have to do their best in the encounter so to win hearts of the team’s technical bench and officials.

Karia said the players have been offered the golden chance to face the famous team in the European continent and their task ahead is to record best results. “Every coach in the world prefers to work with talented and committed players. Sevilla FC will be visiting the country during the off season, it is an opportunity for the players who focus on playing abroad,” said Karia.

Karia also commended SportPesa Tanzania for their efforts of stimulating the development of football in the country. “To be sincere, SportPesa Tanzania have so far done a tremendous job in developing football in the country. They have managed to bring an English Premier League side into the country, Everton FC. “Recently, Southampton FC instructors conducted a special coaching course for more than 30 local coaches and trained the youth. So, we have been impressed by the efforts being made by the firm,” said Karia.

Meanwhile, SportPesa Tanzania has said the encounter, scheduled to kick-off from 7pm at the National Stadium, will be televised live through MultiChoice Tanzania’s DStv’s Super Sport 9.
