Stakeholders set to convene in Dar for Tanzania Health Summit

Dar es Salaam. Health experts are scheduled to convene in Dar es Salaam for the Tanzania Health Summit (THS) to be held on November 13 and 14 to discuss the role of the health sector in Tanzania’s economic transformation towards industrialisation.

THS President Omary Chillo said growth of the health sector during economic transformation towards industrialisation will be the main summit agenda. Participants of the summit will be drawn from both private and public sectors.

Dr Chillo said the health sector has passed through different phases of transformation over the years.

“Our Development Vision 2025 targets to transform the country’s economy into the middle income status by 2025, which is just few years ahead,” he said.

The summit is expected to attract 1,000 stakeholders from private and public sectors to discuss how to improve access to quality health services in a fast changing economic growth.
