Suspected killer of worshipper hospitalised
Singida. The prime suspect in the killing that occurred in the New Day Adventist Church at Kazikazi Village in Itigi Town Council, Manyoni District, Mr Pius Luhende (54), has been hospitalised at Singida Regional Referral Hospital.
He is receiving asthma and blood pressure treatments.
The hospital’s medical officer-in-charge, Dr Ng’hungu Kuzenza, said the patient, who is the Executive Director of Itigi Town Council, had been admitted since Tuesday this week after being referred from the Manyoni District Hospital.
Dr Kuzenza said when Mr Luhende hadasthma and heart complications.
“When they brought him, He was in a really bad condition. He was suffering from asthma. On blood pressure, we have managed to control the problem,” he clarified.
Dr Kuzenza added that the patient had started getting reliefand that he would be under a close supervision of his doctors until next Monday when he would be discharged
When The Citizen visited the suspect, who is under watchful eyes of four officers, he said he was still suffering from asthma
“However, I thank God that my condition is improvingunlike when I was at Manyoni Hospital,” said Mr Luhende
Meanwhile, Acting Singida Regional Police Commander Isaya Mbughi said six other suspects, who are not sick , would be taken to court after completing legal procedures to answer.
He said Mr Luhende would be joined in the case after being discharged.
