TTCL now focuses on infrastructural challenges to boost competitiveness

Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) embarks on plan to improve service provision and being competitive in the industry.

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) has embarked on addressing some of its infrastructural challenges as it fulfills its business strategic plan to improve service provision and being competitive in the industry.

To date 10 office buildings and 15 other customer service centers have been maintained, the corporation director General Mr Waziri Kindamba says.

Speaking during the official opening of the new restructured front office department at the headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Mr Kindamba said the maintainable of the corporation offices across the country is one of the objectives set as part of the 2016-2019 business strategic plan.

"Specifically for this headquarters section, the reception part is a strategic area. Considering the fact that we are located in a very busy area (Posta) economically, there is always business movements going on, “he said.

According to him, they have included an information room at the reception section which will serve as a museum carrying important history of the state owned Telecom.

The firm's board chairman, Mr Omari Nundu, said it has been TTCL venture to improve the telecommunications services across the country and contribute to the country's economy.

Mr Nundu said, "Apart from launching different products we also restructuring our service provision by employing younger generation which will keep up with the required speed for development".
