Tanzania MP Majimarefu dies

Tanzanian Member of Parliament Stephen Ngonyani (Korogwe Rural-CCM) popularly known as Professor Majimarefu has died this evening at Muhimbili National Hospital.
The hospital's Public Relations Officer Mr Aminieli Aligaesha confirmed that Mr Ngonyani was admitted at MNH and passed away at 9:20pm on Monday July 02 evening.
Professor Majimarefu was brought to Muhimbili last week from Dodoma National Hospital where he was previously admitted. Just before his admission in Dodoma, Professor Majimarefu had lost his wife to an illness.
This would be the fifth Member of Parliament to pass away during the 11th Parliament led by Speaker Job Ndungai.
Others are Dr Elly Macha (Special Seats-Chadema), Kasuku Bilago (Buyungu), Leonidas Gama (Songea Urban-CCM) and Hafidh Ali Tahir (Dimani-CCM).
