Kigoma. Vice President Samia Suluhu is expected to grace a meeting of businesspeople from Zambia, Burundi, DRC, Rwanda and the host Tanzania.
The event will be held on May 9-11 in Kigoma Region.
That was said on Monday, April 15, 2019, by Kigoma Regional Commissioner Brig Gen (Rtd) Emanuel Maganga.
He told journalists that the forum aimed at identifying opportunities available inside and outside the countries.
"More than 300 people are expected to attend the meeting. Our objective is to start a new relation among countries in the Great Lakes region and strengthen cross-border trade.”
The chairman of the Kigoma chapter of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Mr Ramadhani Gange, hopes the forum will end hassles on exports.
