According to CCM campaign team spokesperson Mr January Makamba. the ruling party will contest in court the results for Mikumi, Kawe, Iringa Urban and Ndanda constituency won by Chadema.

Mr Makamba said although CCM has lost to the opposition in other constituencies; it will contest the defeat in the four  because the elections were marred by irregularities.

“We asked for the re-count of votes in those constituencies because there was a problem during the tallying process but the returning officers turned down our plea, so we are going to court to challenge the results,” said Mr Makamba.

The Bumbuli elect MP commended the leaders of the opposition parties for unseating CCM in some constituencies. According to him the opposition won fairly in many constituencies save for the four.
