Mengi calls for partnership with foreign investors in trade
Dar es Salaam. Oil and gas; and automotive products exhibitors have been challenged to measure whether they can manufacture and assemble their products in Tanzania to support the country’s industrial growth.
The chairman of Tanzania Private Sector Foundation, Reginald Mengi called the exhibitors at a three day exhibitions involving two events of Oil and Gas Expo 2015 and Auto Expo 2015 held in Dar es Salaam.
“Most of the products are imported, but I have talked to the companies to see if they can erect their plants into the country through partnering with Tanzanians,” he said.
In his visit to the pavilions, Mr Mengi, accompanied by TPSF executive director, Godfrey Simbeye, he challenged most of the companies to see how they use the opportunity to sign deals so that they can establish their presence in the country.
