Dar es Salaam. Acacia Mining lost nearly Sh578.11 billion in total market capitalisation after experiencing a significant fall in share prices in the one month, reports by the Dar es Salaam Exchange market revealed.

The decline in the market cap was was attributed by the decrease in price level by 23.31 per cent from Sh6, 050 reported on week to March 22, 2019 to Sh4, 640 tabled on the opening trading day Tuesday April 23, 2019.

In the period under review Acacia total market cap dipped from Sh2.48 trillion to Sh1.9 trillion on Tuesday.

DSE’s total market cap was reported at Sh19.47 trillion on Tuesday, down from Sh20.16 trillion tabled one month ago.

While Investors at the Dar bourse resumed their trading activities on Tuesday after a long Easter holiday, Acacia share prices declined by 6.26 per cent. (The CItizen Reporter)
