TTCL develops link with Dart

TTCL operation officer Fatuma Bali said this yesterday at the 42nd Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) that the company already won the tender, and signed a contract with Dart to start the GePG system, which is expected to commence anytime soon.

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) has said that it is in the final stages to complete integration of its payments system with the Dar es Salaam Rapid Transit (Dart) through the government electronic payment gateway.

TTCL operation officer Fatuma Bali said this yesterday at the 42nd Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) that the company already won the tender, and signed a contract with Dart to start the GePG system, which is expected to commence anytime soon.

“We are awaiting Dart to reconcile their contract with Maxmalipo anytime soon, for us to integrate our developed payment systems,” she said.

She noted that, other government institutions including the Tanzania Development Petroleum Corporation are also seeking to integrate payment systems with TTCL.

Adding that currently, electricity payment system (Luku), water bills and Police road fines are already integrated with the system, and they expect all government institutions to use the system for payments.

In another development, TTCL pavilion manager Aaron Msonga said that following the launch of video conference equipment that was launched last month, the have installed it in all the country’s state house including Dar es Salaam, Dodoma and Zanzibar.
