Dodoma. Telecom providers YAS this week continued with the launch of its national campaign, “Anzia Ulipo” (Start Where You Are), in the heart of Dodoma.
The campaign seeks to inspire Tanzanians to pursue personal and professional growth using the resources they already have, whether it's a skill, a talent, or a simple idea.
Speaking during the launch event, YAS Zonal Director for Central Zone, Mr. Said Idd underscored the company’s commitment to leveraging technology as a catalyst for social and economic empowerment.
“This campaign is a rallying cry to all Tanzanians in the Central Zone and beyond that success does not require perfection - it requires action,” said Mr. Idd. “Start where you are, use what you have, and YAS will walk with you every step of the way.”
The Anzia Ulipo campaign aims to unlock the potential of individuals across various sectors by promoting digital inclusion and innovation. Through strategic investments in high-speed 4G and 5G networks, YAS is ensuring that even remote and underserved communities can access quality connectivity and digital opportunities.
“Today, a teacher in a rural village can deliver online lessons, a farmer can track crop prices using a mobile phone, and a young innovator in Dodoma can showcase their creations to a global audience - all made possible by technology,” Mr. Idd explained.
He expressed gratitude to Central Zone residents for their enthusiastic adoption of the YAS and Mixx brands, noting this as a clear indicator of the community’s hunger for affordable, reliable, and impactful services that add real value to daily life.
Mr. Idd also emphasized YAS’s long-term commitment to supporting youth, entrepreneurs, educators, and farmers through programs and platforms that build knowledge, expand networks, and fuel growth.
“We recognize the realities of unemployment in our country. That’s why we’re passionate about supporting young people who are creating their own paths through innovation and entrepreneurship,” he added.
Closing his remarks with a message of encouragement, Mr. Idd urged Tanzanians to be bold and take the first step toward their dreams. “Don’t wait for ideal conditions. From wherever you are, start. Your dreams are valid, your potential is immense, and opportunities are within reach. All it takes is the courage to begin.”
