Dar es Salaam. As Plateau United mid-fielder Isah Ndala has promised to revenge against Simba during the African Champions League match on Saturday, different coaches and football commentators have cautioned the club’s technical bench and the players not to be satisfied with the first leg victory. Ndala - who also apologized to fans following the side’s 1-0 defeat to Simba SC - said Simba are beatable, and their target is to show the world their prowess in football.

“This is not how we envisioned the game would go. But, in football, we just have to accept whatever result that comes our way - and prepare to excel next time round,” Ndala told www.brila.net.

Ndala said they still have chances of advancing to the next stage the and players are hopeful of turning the game on its head in Tanzania. “Simba came to Nigeria - and got to win. We will go to Tanzania, and show the world that we are capable of winning anywhere,” he said.

The club - which was formed in 1975 - is expected in Tanzania tomorrow for the Saturday encounter at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar, where it only needs to win 2-0 or above to qualify for the next round of the competition. Simba need any draw to qualify for the next round.

Spectators will have to pay Sh150,000 each for ‘Platinum’ seats, and Sh40,000 for a VIP A seat. Spectators wanting VIP B and C seats will have to pay Sh20,000 each, while the cheapest seats on that day would cost Sh 7,000 each.

Soccer fans who attend the encounter will have to adhere to all the anti-Covid-19 guidelines according to African Football governing body (Caf) directives - including wearing face masks.

In another development, football analyst Ally Mayay has cautioned Simba players not to underrate Plateau United following their 1-0 victory in the away encounter. Mayay said Plateau United players are also good, and can reverse the results even in an ‘away’ match.

He urged the Simba players to play with determination in the encounter to thwart efforts by Plateau United to post a victory.

Incidentally, Simba have recruited Uganda’s holding mid-fielder Taddeo Lwanga on a two-year contract. Lwanga plays for the Uganda national team.
