Dar es Salaam. A local innovative and online legal digital platform called Sheria Kijangani (law in your palm) has been recognised as the best system innovator of the year in the country.

The digital platform was awarded as a system innovator for its effort to develop an innovative model that enables individuals or groups of people to access legal information online.

The system innovator for Sheria Kiganjani, Mr Nabiry Juma, said that the recognition will increase their determination to continue innovating and expanding their services, ensuring that justice becomes a reality for all.

“So far we have been able to impact over two million people. Our goal is to reach over five million people by 2030, he said.

He added; “We would therefore like to take this moment to express our sincerest gratitude to the Segal Family Foundation for honouring Sheria Kiganjani as the System Innovator of the Year.”

Another system innovator for Sheria Kiganjani, Ms Neema Magimba, said that the recognition demonstrates their commitment to creativity and innovation.

“We are delighted to see our efforts being celebrated by the Segal Family Foundation,” she said.

According to her, they continue working hard to meet Segal’s standard, whose objective focuses on changing the power dynamics inherent in traditional humanity to a more equitable, and responsive approach.
