Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC) condemns the arrest and prosecution of human rights defenders in Kishapu District, Shinyanga Region and recommends government to remove in the Regional Administration Act 1997 sections providing massive powers to RCs and DCs.
THRDC lawyer, Mr Jones Sendodo reminded government that the constitution respects activities of Civil Society Organizations, noting that just in 2017 there has been 20 recorded incidents of human rights violations.
