National Assembly Speaker Job Ndugai has on Thursday, May 16, 2019, told the Parliament that the Segerea MP, Ms Bonnah Moses Kaluwa (CCM) has changed her name to Bonnah Kimoli.

Dodoma. The Segerea MP on the CCM ticket, Ms Bonnah Kaluwa has officially changed her name to Ms Bonnah Kimoli.

The changes were announced in Parliament on Thursday, May 16, 2019, by National Assembly Speaker Job Ndugai after receiving reports from the MP.

He made the decision to make the changes public after wrongly referring to her when she tabled before the parliament report of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security Committee.

“I have been informed that her Bonnah has changed her second name and she will effectively be addressed as Ms Bonnah Kimoli,” he said.

Mr Ndugai asked the lawmaker to correctly pronounce the new name, something that was fulfilled by the MP who pronounced, “Bonnah Kimoli,” amid silence from the MPs.

The MP’s decision to change her sir name comes after divorcing her spouse, Mr Moses Kaluwa, who later asked the lawmaker to drop her last name, otherwise legal measures would be taken against her including demanding for compensation.

However, until 9:40am of Thursday, May 16, 2019, official parliament website recognized the MP as Bonnah Moses Kaluwa.
