Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited (TTCL) has introduced an integrated business and operational support system.

The TTCL chief officer of marketing and sales , Mr Peter Ngota, said here yesterday that the system would improve data and voice services for fixed and mobile networks.

He explained that the new system ensures a significant improvement in the quality of customer experience and more efficient customer service than before.

He noted that the introduction of the new system was necessary because TTCL possesses the industry’s largest sensitive customer base and product portfolio.

“As customers and products will be managed in a unified system, new offers will be able to enter the market in a shorter time and delivery times will also improve,” he said, adding that customers would receive products ordered in a shorter time.

According to him, the system is easier, quicker, more flexible and will increase customer convenience.

The next generation system has been developed and introduced as a result of TTCL’s business transformation for demanding services which the company undertook recently. He said the new system strongly addresses power to customers, speed to the market and cost transformation.

Some of the new features of the new system include web self care that will allow customers to view their product portfolios, access bills, top up the account, order new product, report complaints and track resolution stages.

Also is the real time billing of usage for prepaid and post-paid customers; insurance of various notification through electronic means and personalised services.
