Microfinance organisation targets more rural people

Bahi. UTT Microfinance Plc is striving to serve more rural people. “We will continue to ensure that ordinary rural people get microloans to undertake various projects,” said the organisation’s chief executive officer, Mr James Washima (left in the photo). He believes the situation will improve when new law gets enacted to manage microfinancing. According to him, the organisation has 12 branches and 46 centres countrywide. Finance and Planning deputy minister Ashatu Kijaji (standing in the photo) urged the organisation to continue serving rural areas to improve their living standards. One of recent beneficiaries is Lubala Saccos of Bahi.
