Yas engages Lake Zone clients in digital inclusion push

Mwanza. Telecommunications company Yas, together with its digital financial service Mixx by Yas, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting digital inclusion in Tanzania after hosting a stakeholder engagement event that celebrated recent rebranding.
The event held in Mwanza brought together customers, agents, and government officials from the Lake Zone to celebrate the company’s rebranding and its progress in expanding access to digital services.
Ilemela District Commissioner, Mr Hassan Masala, officiated the event and praised the company’s efforts in using modern technology to enhance public access to essential digital solutions.
“Yas and Mixx have set a strong example in using technology to improve livelihoods,” said Mr Masala.
Yas Lake Zone director, Mr Joseph Mutalemwa thanked stakeholders and customers for their support since the rebranding of Yas and Mixx by Yas in November 2024. He noted that the company has seen tangible improvements in service delivery and customer growth, especially in the Lake Zone.
“Since launching our new identity, we’ve recorded significant milestones—expanding our customer base, enhancing 4G-powered infrastructure, and empowering citizens across all age groups with quality digital services,” said Mr Mutalemwa.
Mr Mutalemwa emphasised the company’s ongoing collaboration with government institutions, private sector players, and local communities to drive the national digital agenda.
“We believe it is time for Tanzanians to unlock their full potential through accessible, smart, and affordable digital solutions,” he added.
