34 children tour ATCL’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

Dar es Salaam. A group of 34 young learners’ have participated in an aviation adventure expedition organised by UpStudio Africa, in partnership with Air Tanzania to inspire young people into the sector.

UpStudio Africa is a local design and innovation studio focused on nurturing the next generation of creators, innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders within Tanzania and beyond.

Under the guidance of ATCL's Captain Brian Wamala, the group was able to see Air Tanzania's Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner’s aerodynamics of take-offs, cruising, and landings unveiled before their curious eyes, leaving them in awe of the intricacies of flight.

The engineering team at Air Tanzania also showed the pupils the marvels of aircraft fuselage, wings, and tail assembly.

In a statement released by the company, the Founder of UpStudio Africa, Ms Shama Kheraj said this partnership helps to enhance innovative learning experiences for young students.

"The aviation expedition exemplified the power of education and hands-on learning experiences that we aspire to create. Our students have previously also worked to photograph and design Air Tanzania’s inflight magazine, Twiga," she said.
