Amos Makalla kicks off six-region tour in Katavi

Katavi. CCM Secretary of the Central Committee of, Ideology, Publicity and Training, Amos Makala has on Saturday kicked off his new assignment at Mpanda town in what he has termed a scientific journey.
Makala, who is accompanied by the Secretary General Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi in a tour of six regions that started in Katavi, with a session to listen to the concerns of the people of Mpanda.
During the first seession Makala sat with district heads, council directors and heads of government departments to listen to hundreds of Mpanda residents who had turned up.
"I really like this procedure, that is, you explain your problems privately" said one woman who was only identified as Happy Mwakwaya.
On his part, CCM Secretary General, Dr Nchimbi said the procedure that has been adopted by Makalla is scientific.
"CCM listens to the concerns of the people scientifically" said Dr. Nchimbi as the audience cheered on.
Makalla was appointed CCM’s Secretary for Ideology, publicity and training last week in the party’s latest changes made him the fourth publicity secretary since 2020, at a special session that was chaired by President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
CCM also made several changes to its secretariat, including the appointment of former Arusha RC John Mongella as deputy Secretary General (Mainland).
