Dar es Salaam. A new partnership between Tanzanian consultancy firm, BSM Washauri (TZ) Ltd, and pan-African tech firm, Adanian Labs South Africa, aims to accelerate artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across Tanzania’s business and media sectors.
According to the agreement, signed on June 2, 2025 in Dar es Salaam, BSM Washauri has been appointed as an independent, non-exclusive marketing and sales agent for Adanian Labs’ Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms in Tanzania.
The partnership brings together BSM Washauri’s local market knowledge and Adanian Labs’ expertise in AI to support innovation, data-driven decisions and leadership development in key sectors.
“We are pleased to partner with Adanian Labs in delivering AI solutions to Tanzanian enterprises,” said BSM Washauri chief executive officer, Bakari Machumu.
“Our goal is to support businesses in using smart technology for sustainable growth,” he added.
Adanian Labs co-founder and chief growth officer, Irene Kiwia, said Tanzania has the potential to become a leader in AI development in East Africa.
This partnership focuses on building real capabilities and supporting future-ready organisations.
Another key feature of the partnership is the launch of AI for Leaders training programmes.
These are designed to help executives understand and apply AI in their organisations.
The programmes will include readiness assessments, strategy support, and enterprise adoption planning across sectors such as finance, agriculture, healthcare, retail, logistics, and manufacturing.
The partnership will also introduce Adanian Labs’ AI Centre of Excellence-as-a-Service (AICEaaS), offering AI talent, consulting, and product development support to local businesses.
Rollout of the initiative begins in July 2025, targeting priority sectors and anchor institutions.
This will be followed by strategic roundtables, public-private dialogues, and regional workshops.
Both firms have committed to ethical marketing, data protection, and full compliance with Tanzanian laws.
The collaboration aims to position Tanzania as a regional hub for AI.
