Exim Bank joins forces on World Red Cross Day

In a heartwarming display of solidarity and community spirit, Exim Bank, in partnership with the Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS) and the National Blood Transfusion Service Tanzania (NTBS), came together to mark World Red Cross Day in Dodoma.

The event, graced by the esteemed presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Dr. Dotto Biteko was a testament to the power of collaboration in bringing about positive change.

Speaking on behalf of Exim Bank, Stanley Kafu, Head of Marketing and Communication, expressed the bank's unwavering commitment to supporting the invaluable work carried out by TRCS.

"Exim Bank recognizes the vital role played by the Tanzania Red Cross Society in our communities, and we are proud to stand as a steadfast ally in their noble endeavors," he remarked.

Under its social program, 'EXIM Cares', Exim Bank has been actively involved in a myriad of social and developmental initiatives across Tanzania, spanning sectors such as health, education, environment, innovation, and finance.

Highlighting the 'EXIM Go Green' project, Stanley shed light on the bank's efforts to contribute to environmental conservation by collaborating with various stakeholders in tree planting initiatives. "We have been privileged to partake in tree planting activities in Dodoma, including Zuzu ward, Dodoma Referral Hospital, and Machinga Complex market," he shared.

In the realm of healthcare, Exim Bank has forged partnerships with TRCS and NTBS to champion blood donation drives, recognizing the critical need for blood donations in Tanzania.

"Last year, in collaboration with NTBS, we organized successful blood donation drives across multiple regions, including Mbeya, Mtwara, Mwanza, Dar es Salaam, and Dodoma," Kafu elaborated, underscoring Exim Bank's pivotal role as a key stakeholder in the national blood donation efforts.

As the commemorations unfolded, Exim Bank reaffirmed its commitment to working hand in hand with TRCS, echoing this year's theme, "I give with joy, and the joy I give is a reward." This theme encapsulates the profound significance of giving for the betterment of those in need and the profound sense of fulfillment derived from acts of kindness and generosity.
