Fifty cheat death as bus crashes into BRT terminal

Dar es Salaam. At least 50 people traveling from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro cheated death after their bus, Abood Bus Services, lost control and crashed into a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) terminal at Kimara Corner.

Head of operations at the regional traffic department Abdi Isango said on Thursday, March 7, the accident occurred at 06:30am. He added that the driver of the bus lost control due to speeding.

“The driver of the bus tried to overtake another bus and lost control due to speeding,” said Mr Isango.

He added that the driver of the bus is in police custody accused of reckless driving. No one was seriously injured in the accident, confirmed Mr Iasango.
