Under President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership, the sectoral budget has jumped from a modest Sh294 billion in 2021/22 to a record Sh1.105 trillion in 2026/27, enabling the government to fund irrigation schemes and infrastructure development and subsidise inputs.
