Infobip appoints Mirza Bukva as director of operator partnerships for EMEA

New Director of Operator Partnerships for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Mirza Bukva

Dar es Salaam. Global cloud communications company Infobip has named Mirza Bukva as its new Director of Operator Partnerships for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, marking a key strategic move to strengthen its presence and partnerships across diverse markets.

The appointment places Bukva at the helm of developing and executing telecom partnership strategies across the vast EMEA region. His responsibilities include aligning Infobip’s solutions with evolving market demands, managing operator relationships, and steering revenue growth through collaborative innovations.

Speaking shortly after his appointment, Mr Bukva said his goal is to further Infobip’s mission of enabling seamless global communication while driving value through evolving technologies.

“Infobip operates at the forefront of telecommunications innovation, enabling seamless communication for businesses worldwide,” said Mr Bukva. “By prioritising strong relationships and aligning strategies with emerging industry trends like 5G infrastructure and fintech convergence, my goal will be to solidify Infobip’s position as a trusted partner in the telecom ecosystem.”

Mr Bukva brings to the role close to a decade of experience within Infobip, having previously served as Head of Telecom Partnerships for Africa. During his tenure, he led initiatives to optimise connectivity, monetise telecom products, and manage high-value partnerships. Prior to joining Infobip, he worked in sales and analytics, combining relationship-focused approaches with data-driven strategies.

Infobip’s Chief Commercial Telecom Officer, Mr Matija Ražem, described the appointment as a timely step towards deepening telco sector partnerships and driving innovation.

“Mirza’s appointment aligns with the company’s vision to enhance its leadership in the telco sector by forging deeper partnerships, driving digital transformation, and unlocking growth opportunities through cutting-edge solutions such as Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) and AI-driven customer engagement,” Mr Ražem said.

Mr Bukva will focus on tailoring operator strategies to suit the nuances of Europe’s competitive telecom environment, the Middle East’s evolving markets, and Africa’s digital transformation drive.
