It’s Sh10,000 property tax for every unvalued house

The minister of Finance Dr Philip Mpango said this on Thursday as he tabled the 2017/18 national budget.

Dodoma. The government plans to impose a flat rate of Sh 10,000 for houses which have not been valued and the rate of Sh 50,000 per each floor of a story house.

The minister of Finance Dr Philip Mpango said this on Thursday as he tabled the 2017/18 national budget.

He said that the government will continue to collect Property Tax (for valued and non-valued houses) in all local government authorities. The property tax on all houses and the property rate will be determined by the Minister for Finance and Planning.

 “The collection of property tax will be managed by the Ministry of Finance and Planning through Tanzania Revenue Authority,” he said.
