Man arraigned for allegedly killing two people in Tanga guest house

Tanga. A man, who is believed to be behind the killing of two people in the city two months ago, was on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 arraigned at the Tanga Resident Magistrates’ Court.

Before resident magistrate Crecensia Kisongo, accused Ismail Mihanji, 31, was charged with murder.

The accused, who is a resident of Amani in Muheza District, allegedly killed Mr Ibrahim Ali and Mr Benedicto John in Bomai guest house.

He was not allowed to enter any plea because the court lacks jurisdiction over the case.

State attorney Rebecca Msalangi told the court that the accused committed the offence on September 25, 2017.

However, the resident magistrate adjourned the case until November 11.
