Compass Communications Company director Maria Tsehai Sarungi said yesterday that all preparations were complete and the beauties were camping in the city.
Dar es Salaam. Miss Universe Tanzania beauty pageant will be held on Saturday, at the National Museum hall in the city.
Ten contestants will vie for the three slots to represent the country in the international beauty contest.
Compass Communications Company director Maria Tsehai Sarungi said yesterday that all preparations were complete and the beauties were camping in the city.
Maria named the contestants as Lilian Maraule, Glory Gideon, Melody Tryphone, Anitha Mlay, Silvia Mkomwa, Rogathe Ally, Prisca Dastan (all from Dar es Salaam). The rest who are from Mwanza are Maureen Foster and Mary Peter. There is also Zahra Abdul who is from Mbeya Region.
“All preparations are in top gear and we expect the event to be closely contested as we have conducted thorough scouting to get the cream of contestants. Our focus is to ensure we vote for the best contestants who will represent us well internationally,” said Maria.
