Nape to stand for House seat in Lindi, Muhongo in Musoma

And from Musoma, former Minister for Energy and Minerals, Prof. Sospeter Muhongo, also collected nomination forms to vie for Musoma Rural constituency currently under Mr Nimrod Mkono.
Lindi/Musoma. The ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Publicity and Ideology secretary, Mr Nape Nnauye, was among 33 CCM cadres who collected nomination forms to vie for parliamentary seats in eight constituencies in Lindi region.
And from Musoma, former Minister for Energy and Minerals, Prof. Sospeter Muhongo, also collected nomination forms to vie for Musoma Rural constituency currently under Mr Nimrod Mkono.
Nnauye and a former football player, Selemani Matthew, intend to vie for Mtama constituency parliamentary seat left vacant by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr Bernard Membe.
Mr Member sought nomination for the presidential race on the ticket of the ruling party but he was eliminated at the second stage by members of the party’s National Executive Committee in Dodoma.
Lindi regional CCM secretary, Ms Adelina Gec, said the 33 CCm members have collected the nomination forms within three days after the date for collection of the forms started on July 15.
She mentioned others who have collected the nomination forms as Fadhili Abdallah Magoma anda Francis Kumba Ndulane (Kilwa Kaskazini), Kassimu Majaliwa and Bakari Nampenya (Ruangwa),Selemani Mathew Luhongo, Rukia Abdallah Mandindi, Ismaili Selemani Mbuni and Nape Moses Nnauye (Mtama).
Others are Zainabu Kawawa, Haji Munde and Mshamu Ally (Liwale), Said Ally Timami, Hafidhi Bakari, Asnen Ghullam Dewji and Sowami Omari Kisongo (Kilwa Kusini), Abubakari Said Maguo, Masoud Ally Mikorogo, Abukari Kadhi Abubakari, Hassani Mohamedi Jarufu, Tika Hamisi Omari and Hassan Selemani Kaunje (Lindi Urban).
Also on the list are Said Mtanda, Yusuf Amani, Adamu Kulagwa, Dr Alawi Mikidadi, Mehdoody Othman, Fatuma Abdallah Mikidadi and Ridhiki Lulida (Mchinga), Fadhili Ally Luwak, Issa Mohamedi Mkalinga, Baneto Ng’itu, Ally Abdallah Namnyundo, Hasani Masala and Albert Mnali (Nachingwea).
Speaking yesterday, Prof Muhongo promised to fight against challenges facing wananchi of Musoma rural constituency especially poverty if he will be elected as a member of parliament for the constituency.
Speaking here when returning CCM nomination forms for parliamentarian seat, prof Muhongo said that he decided to vie for the position through Musoma rural due to the level of poverty at the constituency whereby he said that the challenges facing those residents need urgent measures to overcome them.
He said that in order to overcome those challenges if he will be elected he will cooperate with wananchi so that to improve economy of the constituency by introducing different development projects for the benefit of wananchi.
Prof Muhongo said that he will help to improve different economic activities that were carried out by residents of the constituency including fisheries, agriculture and livestock keeping.
He explained that he believed that if those activities will be carried out scientifically probably they will be able to reduce the level of poverty since there would be increase of the produces due to scientific methods that will be applied by wananchi.
He said that for long time wananchi of Musoma rural depend on rains to carry on agricultural activities the situation that led to the poor harvest due to the climate change.
He said that due to that he will cooperate with wananchi to introduce irrigation scheme so that they can carry on agricultural activities throughout a year hence help in reducing the level of poverty in Musoma rural.
He said that in order to fight against poverty and improving the economy of the constituency he will make sure that there would help in introduction of middle class factories so that farmers will have the reliable market for their products as well as increasing the employment opportunities.
Prof Muhongo said that he will make sure that residents of Musoma will have access of electricity whereby he said that apart from being used for domestic issues the electricity also will help wananchi to introduce different entrepreneur activities.
Apart from Prof Muhongo other seven CCM cadres have so far picked the nomination forms intending to be nominated for the post at the constituency.
They include Hai district commissioner Mr Anthony Mtaka, Prof Elison Mjungu, Evarist Maganga, Nelson Semba, Stephen Mafuru and Wilberforce Onyango.
