The victim was hit by a Toyota-Hiace said to be property of on Mr Julius Philipo, a resident of Ulyanhulu in Kahama District.
Shinyanga. Ally Kopesha, 26, a resident of Inaga Village in Kahama District, Shinyanga Region was killed instantly over the weekend, allegedly by a speeding car. Shinyanga Regional Police Commander Justus Kamugisha confirmed the incident, explaining that it occurred at Uyogo Village along Kahama-Ulyanhulu road at 8am.
He said the victim was hit by a Toyota-Hiace said to be property of on Mr Julius Philipo, a resident of Ulyanhulu in Kahama District.
The RPC said the vehicle was being driven by Mr Anthony Paul, 27, a resident of Nyasubi in the district who he said escaped shortly after the accident. “The accident was caused by recklessness of the driver who was speeding in disregard to road regulations. My boys are presently looking for so that he is arrsted and taken court to answer charges of careless driving,” explained the RPC.
