Dar es Salaam. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Dar es Salaam has lent its support to a beach clean-up initiative at Mbezi Beach, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

The campaign, organised in partnership with the African Human Rights Network (AHRN), sought to raise awareness about environmental conservation, safeguard marine ecosystems, and enhance the visual appeal of the coastline as a growing tourism destination.

This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s National Volunteering Programme and aligns with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ wider goal of promoting global volunteerism and shared values through international cooperation.

Staff and volunteers from the Embassy actively participated in the clean-up, highlighting the importance of cross-border collaboration in the preservation of natural resources.

In a statement, the Embassy conveyed its sincere appreciation to AHRN for leading the coordination of the exercise and commended the organisation’s unwavering commitment to environmental protection.

It also extended its gratitude to the Minister of State in the Vice President’s Office (Union and Environment), Eng. Hamad Yousuf Masauni, for honouring the invitation and joining the event alongside government officials, local community members, and volunteers.

The Embassy encouraged all visitors to Mbezi Beach to contribute to preserving the area’s natural charm by maintaining cleanliness and supporting collective efforts to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
