Second Phase for CBOs, FBOs verifications set to start on June 23

The government has set June 23 to July 2, this year as days for the send phase of verification to Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) carrying activities in Dodoma, Morogoro, Singida and Manyara regions. 

Dodoma. The Office of the Registrar of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) in the ministry of Home Affairs will verify organizations and institutions operating in Dodoma, Morogoro, Singida and Manyara regions.

A statement issued on June 17, 2019, signed by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Maj Gen Jacob Kingu, says the second phase of the verifications was set ti take place between June 23 and July 2, this year.

“The exercise will take place at the verification center, formerly the office of Dodoma Regional Police Commander (RPC) from 8am to 4pm,” reads part of the statement.

He said during the verification, CBOs and FBOs will be required to submit registration certificate and respective photocopies, the recent fee payment receipt and institution’s constitution endorsed and registered by the registrar.

Other documents are letters confirming the validity institution from the street executive officers or the ward executive officers, minutes of at least one year’s general meeting and annual financial report of one year.

“Verification forms are available at the ministry’s website and the verification center. Institutions that will fail to be registered according to the schedule will be required to visit the ministry’s headquarters in Dodoma,” reads another part of the statement.

According to the statement, institutions that will miss the deadline at specified time will be eliminated from the registrar’s list and that unregistered institutions are required to attend the verification center in order to be given registration procedures.

The statement clarifies that fee payment will be done during the verification exercise through the Government Electronic Payment Gateway System (GePGS).
