Dar es Salaam. Young Africans have sealed the signing of Simba SC bad boy Hassan Kessy on a two-year deal.

Yanga head coach Hans van der Pluijm told Goal that he was happy with the arrival of the defender who he described as a brilliant back.

“Kessy is a brilliant defender. He has shown that throughout the season for Simba and I am happy that I contributed in his arrival,” he said.

Kessy has been at loggerhead with Simba leaders and technical bench over a variety of issues, but they did not prohibit from securing another high-profile move.

“His arrival will make Yanga a stronger outfit next season. We have many competitions to participate, so I think we made the right decision to sign him,” the Dutchman added.

Kessy’s contract with the Msimbazi Street giants, who will not feature in any top international competition next year, expires later this month.

The young defender was recently suspended until the end of the season for alleged indiscipline.
