Dar es Salaam. The Togolese international defender Vincent Bossou, who recently signed in to play for the Mainland Champions, Young Africans, will have to work hard to prove that he is worthy a slot in the Jangawani Street boy’s First Eleven.

Young Africans head coach Hans Van Pluijm said the Togolese player has to “stretch his muscles” really hard to improve his fitness level in order to secure a place in his squad as the League season nears.

At the same time, the Dutch technician admitted he is faced with a tough choice in selecting the players due to what he termed as a “very competitive squad”.

But he told The Citizen yesterday that all players have to fight to win his choice in the starting lineup. “We have recruited the best players whom we signed as per our requirements. But that is not the end, joining Yanga is one step, the next most important step is to play well and give the clubs the best results,” said the Dutch technician.

“Players have to fight hard and impress the technical bench and show they deserve a position in the First Eleven. As the head of the technical bench, I won’t to field any player who is not fit as we have to fight for the top honour in the Tanzania Mainland Vodacom Premier League as well as in the African Champions League,” Pluijm told The Citizen.

“I will always be picking players who perform well and always good results come from players who deliver the best results,” he added.
