However, Tanzanian Emmanuel Shija, who faces the Ugandan in the East and Central African ‘best of the best’ kickboxing championship fight on November 14, will not fall in the same category.

Dar es Salaam. Ugandan kickboxer Moses Golola once stated that some of his opponents get intimidated before stepping in the ring. As a result, he wins some of his fights even before throwing a punch.

However, Tanzanian Emmanuel Shija, who faces the Ugandan in the East and Central African ‘best of the best’ kickboxing championship fight on November 14, will not fall in the same category.

He has refused to be intimidated by Golola’s comical stunts.

Shija, who has a record of 25 wins, 0 draws and 3 losses, will square off with the outspoken Ugandan on November 14 at Crested Crane Hotel in Jinja town.

Speaking with The Citizen yesterday, Shija, who is the titleholder for European Muaythai championship and MMA, said he was unfazed by Golola’s stunts and that he will floor him on his home soil.

This will be Golola’s 24th fight. His record is 11 Knockouts, 8 wins, and 4 losses.

“Golola talks too much, hoping that his mind games will affect every boxer he meets. I checked him out on Youtube, but the man likes to talk and he has lots of words. Let’s do the talking in the ring.

“I have seen several Golola fights; he is a good kick boxer, but not unbeatable. I am confident that I will pile more misery on his recent form,” said Shija.

The motor mouthed Ugandan kick boxer was beaten by American Richard Abraham at the Common Watch resort in Munyonyo less than two months ago in an intercontinental fight.

Shija added: “I am not losing sleep over this fight; I already have a winning formula, so just wait and see how I crush the Ugandan.”

Golola has major belts including Uganda Kick Boxing champion, and The East and Central Africa (Best of the Best) Champion, among others. Speaking recently, Golola bragged that he would beat the Tanzanian.

Golola has in the previous bouts disappointed against international fighters, but he said that was in the old days and went further to relate this to the Bible which has both the new and old testaments.

“The losses I suffered where in the ‘Old Testament’ but this is a ‘New Testament’ with a branded new Golola Moses. I want to regain my mojo and that must start against this Tanzanian.” “Shija should get ready; this is a major title fight that I cannot risk to lose even when I am dead asleep.”
