Outgoing Chinese envoy to Tanzania commends local media

Dar es Salaam. The outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, Dr Lu Youqing on September 2 commended the media in the country on the progress it has made for all the past six years he has been an envoy.

During a farewell press conference held in Dar es Salaam, Dr Youqing said he has witnessed a lot of progress in the way various media houses have been covering development ventures without bias.

He appreciated the cooperation that was extended to him by the local media and he called for strengthening of the relations, with the incoming envoy.

During the event, the Minister of information, Culture, Arts and Sports Dr Harrison Mwakyembe praised the Chinese embassy for the study tours the embassy has been extending to the media practitioners in the country.
