Bonn police probe cause of death of DW broadcaster

Police and medics in Bonn are investigating to establish possible cause of death of DW broadcaster from Tanzania Isaac Gamba who was yesterday found dead at his home in Germany.

Dar es Salaam. The body of a Tanzanian working with the DW as a broadcaster, Isaac Gamba, is still in the hands of police and medics who are investigating to establish the possible cause of his death.

Gamba was found dead at his home in Germany after missing at his workplace for two consecutive days.

His workmates in Bonn say police were yet to release any report, noting that they will probably have a wealth of information later in the day.

Gamba joined DW from ITV/ Radio One where he became a famous broadcaster hosting news bulletin and events programmes.

Some of his friends in Tanzania described him as a nice person and jovial.

More reports in Dar es Salaam say friends and relatives gathered at Gongo la Mboto at his aunt’s home.

His broadcasting life started in Arusha where he worked with Radio 5 before shifting to Mwanza where he joined the Radio Free Africa.

Early 2000, he joined Radio Uhuru and later in 2003 he moved to the ITV / Radio One.
