Dar es Salaam. The government move to Dodoma and the completion of construction of Chato Airport have attracted Precision Air from planning to start flight schedules into two destinations. Precision Air, which was established 25 years ago, operates to ten domestic destinations.

Precision Air’s marketing and corporate affairs manager, Mr Hillary Mremi said the airline had identified the potential market on those two routes and has already started plans to analyse the market so as to design suitable schedule.

“There have been developments in these two destinations, on one hand, the Government plan to move to Dodoma is associated with regular movement of people,” he said.

“As the best scheduled airline and the only Iata member in Tanzania, we are considering to start flights to Dodoma so as to provide connection for our passengers from our wide network.” Mr Mremi explained.

Speaking on flights to Chato, Mr Mremi said the construction of Chato Airport had opened up doors for the airline to have further access into the Lake Zone. “Our flights to Chato will enable us to serve Geita, which has several potential economic activities such as mining, fishing, and tourism,” he said.

“We wish to congratulate our Government efforts to upgrade our Airports; this will enable us as operators to mount more flights to open up Tanzania and speed up economic growth our plans are to launch both Chato and Dodoma flights in summer 2019.” Mremi added.
