Selasini wants govt to assist graduates to obtain capital

Dodoma. Rombo Member of Parliament Mr Joseph Selasini (Chadema) has advised the government to assist higher learning graduates to obtain loans from financial institutions by depositing their academic certificates as collaterals.

Mr Selasini said most of higher learning graduates fail to start self-employments due to lack of capital. Mr Selasini, who was asking a question during the question and answer session in the Parliament on Thursday, said the move will help to decrease number of unemployment in the country.

 “It’s is good idea to allow the youth to obtain loans through surrendering their academic certificates but the problem we have is that most people are not refunding their loans to banks, a situation that  propelled many banks to be very vigilant and strictly at giving loans,” responded finance and planning minister.
