Councils directed to allocate funds for constructing staff houses

Bunda. Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development minister William Lukuvi has directed councils to allocate funds for constructing staff houses by the National Housing Corporation (NHC).
The minister was speaking on September 17 in Bunda Town.
He was responding to a request by Bunda District Commissioner Lydia Bupilipili, who asked the minister to allow NHC to sign agreements with the district administration to construct staff housing units.
Mr Lukuvi said NHC was ready to construct such houses only if councils allocate funds for that purpose.
