Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) has organised a nine-day exhibition as marks 30 years of it existence.

The exhibition is expected to start on Thursday and run through November 23 at Mnazi Mmoja ground in Dar es Salaam. Speaking to reporters, the acting president of TCCIA, Mr Octavian Mshiu, said the exhibition will help various companies to display their products, which were manufactured in the country.

Furthermore, Mr Mshiu said for the first time, the chamber will issue an award known as the Exporter Of The Year Award, which is meant to encourage exportation of goods. “As a member of International Chamber of Commerce, we will issue a certificate of origin to the exporter who will prove to have contributed a lot towards improving trade balance in the country,” he said.

Mshiu said the they have already reviewed all details of the company, which has exported a lot during the 2017/18 financial year, adding that on November 23, the winner will be revealed.

“The winner will be revealed at Serena Hotel at a dinner event that has been organised by KCB Bank”.
