CCM must stick to codes of justice, equality or lose: Bashiru

Morogoro. The CCM Secretary General Dr Bashiru Ally has warned that his party must be prepared to lose if it fails to abide by the principles of justice and equality for all citizens.

Dr Bashiru said this in Kilosa Disctrict, Morogoro Region when speaking to CCM’s political committee members and residents from nine wards.

“Local government elections are coming. We may lose if we fail to stick to the principles of justice and equality but I believe people still have real trust in the party,’’ he said.

Dr Ally said the role of CCM is not solely based on being elected to take over the government.

The party, he said, is overseeing good governance, people’s development, and politics.

“We can’t embrace people whose aim is just to accumulate wealth at the expense of the have-nots. We will interrogate whoever has wealth, to explain to us how they obtained it,’’ he said.

Dr Ally told residents of Kilosa that their district was the leading in the country in terms of land disputes and he believed if they solved the disputes, they would set an example and that a message on justice and equality would reach every corner of the country.

He called on    experts on land issues to work closely with residents by listening to their concerns, believing that through doing so, the disputes would be solved amicably.
