Dar es Salaam. An investigation into a case facing ex-president of Pangea, North Mara, Exploration and Bulyanhulu mines Deogratius Mwanyika and co-accused is still incomplete. Senior state lawyer Mutalemwa Kishenyi said this yesterday before Resident Magistrate-in-Charge Kelvin Mhina of the Kisutu Resident Magistrate’s Court.

He alleged in court that the area for carrying out the investigation into the case was wide and that there were some documents, which they were still working on. Defence lawyer Alex Mgongolwa alerted the court that records show the prosecutors had told the previous court session that they had completed investigations.

After Mr Mgogolwa’s explanation, lawyer Kishenyi told the court that it was true that some documents were still being worked upon and asked the court to set another date for the case’s mention. After hearing the arguments from both parties, Magistrate Mhina adjourned the case until December 21.

The other co-accused are Bulyanhulu Gold Mine public relations manager Alex Lugendo, Pangea, North Mara and Bulyanhuku gold mines executive director Assa Mwaipopo.
