Premier Kassim Majaliwa expresses satisfaction with construction work in Dodoma

Dar es Salaam. The Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, reiterated the government’s commitment to develop its city located at Mtumba in Dodoma Region, revealing that the ongoing construction works were complete by 99 per cent.

He issued the remarks when he visited the project, where 20 new government buildings have already been constructed.

The Premier had the opportunity to inspect the ongoing housing projects belonging to 13 Ministries, expressing satisfaction with the work so far done.

However, the Premier identified some construction defects at the entrance of  the building that belongs to the Ministry of State in the Vice President's Office for Union Affairs and the Environment.

 “I urge the contractor to replace the broken door with a quality door made of solid wood, to make sure the facility suits the conditions stipulated in the contract,” Mr Majaliwa told  the contractor.

He further instructed the contractor to speed up the construction works of the building that belongs to the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications.

He also instructed the ministers and permanent secretaries to further supervise the construction works at the buildings which will be inaugurated by the President John Magufuli.

Earlier, Ms Jenista Mhagama, Minister of Policy, Parliament, Labour, Youth, Employment and the Disabled revealed reassured the Premier that the project will be complete by May this year.

“All the buildings including the Prime Minister's Office (Regional Administration and Local Government) will be complete by May this year,” said Ms Mhagama.
