Premier directs DED, DC to settle differences or ‘face the sack’

Premier, who is in his official tour of Kagera Region has directed two government officials to settle their differences or stern measures will be taken against them

Dar es Salaam. Prime Minister Mr Kassim Majaliwa has directed Biharamulo District Commissioner Ms Sada Malunde and the District Executive Director Ms Wende Ng’ahara to settle their differences or he will advise President John Magufuli to take action against them.

Mr Majaliwa said the misunderstandings between the two had set a bad example to their subordinates.

He issued the statement Wednesday on February 20, when he was addressing a public rally at Nyakanazi Primary School grounds in the district.

According to him, the two have been accusing each another of being involved in superstitious beliefs to the extent of derailing the implementation of development projects in the district.

“You were appointed to supervise the implementations of development projects on behalf of the government but according to reports you have been involving in personal feud,” said Mr Majaliwa.

Earlier, the premier, who was on his to Kagera Region inspected a project to upgrade Nyakanazi-Kabingo 50 kilometer road and said he wasn’t satisfied with the snail pace of the implementation of the project.

The implementation of the project, which started in 2014 and expected to be completed in 2016, hasn’t been completed by 60 per cent.
