CBA Bank and Vodacom pick M-Pawa promotion winners

Dar es Salaam. CBA Bank and Vodacom Tanzania ‘‘Shindana M-Pawa ’’ campaign has come to an end with one lucky customer walking away with a 10 million cash prize and each of five others winning a brand new Bajaj during a grand finale draw today morning at the CBA bank headquarters in Dar es Salaam.

The promo, which targeted all M-Pawa users across the country, was designed for financial inclusion, empowering customers to develop a saving culture and promoting early loan repayments at very low-interest rates ran for 6 weeks from 8th November to 14th December 2018 with a total of 1,296 customers winning during weekly draws.

A total of 1,200 customers had their savings doubled while each of the rest got cash rewards of Sh 100,000 after early loan repayment.

 Sophia Sarapion emerged the winner of the star prize of Sh10 million in the “Shindana M-Pawa’’ grand finale, while Abeid Abeid,Lucas Ngoye, Mariamu Barawa,Hassan Msabila and Hamisi Mpela got away with new Bajaj’s each.

Speaking during the prize handover, the winners expressed their gratitude to CBA Bank and Vodacom for creating opportunities to reward and empower them through the “Shindana M-Pawa’’ campaign.

During his speech at the “Shindana M-Pawa’’ campaign grand finale, the CEO of CBA Bank Tanzania representative Mr. Hakim Sheikh acknowledged, that CBA bank has fulfilled the promise it made to reward its customers who participated and qualified for the promotion and everyone else who participated in the four draws organised during the campaign.

"We are encouraged by the massive excitement and participation of customers in the Shindana M-PAWA campaign. Apart from the prizes won by winners, the campaign has brought so many opportunities that encourage customer to develop a savings culture, financial inclusion and the empowerment among them.

We, therefore, urge members of the public who do not currently bank with us to come on board so they can benefit from the various cutting-edge opportunities that are yet to come from CBA Bank’’, he added.

In his remarks, the Marketing Manager of M-Pesa Vodacom, Mr. Noel Mazoya, acknowledged CBA Bank for their integrity and transparency when running the campaign. He confirmed that the selection of winners followed due process from the beginning of the campaign in November 2018 till the selection of the final winners.

 He encouraged the lucky customers, particularly the grand prize winners, to make wise use of their prizes, with emphasis on investing meaningfully and giving them free advice when they are in need.’’
