Singida. Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan is scheduled to start a five-day tour of Singida Region from Saturday, February 16.
The VP will visit all the districts and inspect development projects as well as address the public during meetings.
She was received in the morning of Saturday, February 16 in Manyoni.
Briefing reporters on Friday, February 15, Singida Regional Commissioner Rehema Nchimbi said the Vice President, after receiving the general regional report, would inspect a cashew nut farm before heading to Itigi.
“While in Itigi, the VP will commission a CT Scan machine for St Gaspar Hospital. Before addressing residents in a public meeting, Ms Samia will be presented with a cheque from TADB for loans to sunflower growers,” said Dr Nchimbi.
On the second day of her visit to the region, the VP will be in Ikungi District, where she will be expected to launch a water project in Ulyampiti Village.
The VP will also visit the dispensary of Mang’onyi Village and Ihanja Division’s health centre before speaking to residents of Ihanja Division in a public meeting.
