Money can’t buy all Tanzanian voters: JK
The CCM chairman, President Jakaya Kikwete, yesterday downplayed the use of money in buying voters as a tool to win the General Election.
“No one is able to buy all Tanzanians so that he or she can be elected to be a leader,” said President Kikwete. He was speaking when introducing CCM presidential candidate John Magufuli and his running mate, Ms Samia Suluhu Hassan, to elders in Dar es Salaam. “You will only buy a few greedy and hungry people but you can’t buy a whole party like CCM, and you can’t pay all Tanzanians who are to decide on the country’s leadership,” he said.
