Bongo Star Search now into final stages

After weeks of regional auditions that took the judges to different parts of the country including Mwanza and Arusha, talent search show BSS is heading towards the final stages.

Speaking to The beat, the chief judge and founder of the show Rita Paulsen said the 20 finalists have already reported to the boot camp in Dar es Salaam for their training before they can kick off the final stages.

“The turn up as you have seen in our programs on TV was testimony that the youth had missed this show and they couldn’t wait for it to return,” said Rita Paulsen.

The talent search that started over 12 years ago took a break and the return has so far gone well with the program being viewed across the East African Region.

This ,according to Rita Paulsen is confirmation that there is need to expand the show to other neighbouring countries such as Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda.

“We have viewers in these countries and with time should resources allow we shall see how we can accommodate contestants for the wider East African region,” she said. For the first time in the history of the show, they have daily screenings as opposed to the previous arrangement of a single show per week.
