Diamond reveals his rate card
Diamonds don’t come cheap so they say and that is exactly what Bongo Flava star Diamond Platinumz is – you have to pay dearly to get his services.
According to the singer who is currently in Canada, he will not take anything below $70,000 just in case you are thinking of booking him for a show outside his country.
The flamboyant singer revealed his rate card on social media recently while protesting music regulatory body Basata’s ban on Rayvanny’s song “Mwanza”.
According his post, Diamond charges almost $20,000 for local shows and at least $70,000 across the borders depending on the nature of the show. Basata on Tuesday banned Mwanza stating it had vulgar lyrics and promoted homosexuality. The song was among 15 others banned from radio and TV in the country following body’s latest review.
Diamond explained that has a wider reach now and banning his song not only affected him but also the country at large.
